Graduation

The final examination (graduation thesis) is the result of a project, preferably individual, or carried out by a maximum of two candidates. It consists of a presentation delivered before a committee appointed by the Degree Program, illustrating an original work developed by the candidate and related to one of the numerous fields of application within industrial design.
The thesis topic must be agreed upon with a professor who assumes the role and responsibility of Thesis Advisor (Relatore).

The required final outputs for the graduation thesis, to be agreed upon with the Thesis Advisor, are:

  • A written thesis report
  • A graphic panel in vertical 70x100 cm format (optional)
  • A project model / prototype (optional)

In the event that the graduation thesis has two authors, the number of required outputs and the specific contributions assigned to each candidate will be agreed upon with the Thesis Advisor.

The following criteria contribute to the evaluation of the final examination:

  • The weighted average value, expressed out of 110, of the grades achieved in the individual exams (how to calculate the average);
  • The final evaluation score (relating both to the overall knowledge demonstrated during the defense and to the quality of the project and its presentation) is expressed with a score ranging between 0 and 10 points.
